Post performance Q&A
At Pipeline we’re committed to each of our plays leading to more than just a night out, and a quick conversation on the way home. We believe that having an audience in a shared space is a rare opportunity for a communal conversation, between actual people, face to face! Which is why in our plays we seek to ask questions rather than answer them, and, by taking our audience on an emotionally eviscerating ride, prepare the ground for a cathartic post-show de-brief, where personal experiences can be shared, knowledge imparted and debate allowed to flow freely.
Audience feedback from Edinburgh Fringe performance of previous show, Spillikin:
"We managed to fit in just 20 shows in our first ever visit to the Edinburgh Fringe. This was our final piece of theatre, and it was worth the trip for this alone. Astounding. The writing was suburb, the performances sublime. If this was not our last night here, we would book to see it again. They say that Edinburgh can show you four seasons in one day. This gave you every emotion in a single play. I hope it tours. Please come to or near Northampton. We shall definitely book, and we will take friends. Just loved it. We see a lot of theatre, and we are very critical. Nothing whatsoever to criticise with this. Do not miss this. Funny, poignant, beautiful."
Here are a few testimonials from some of our Spillikin Q&A's:
"This demonstrates how important theatre is to contribute to the understanding of scientific and medical research. We need more plays like this with defined links between technology and creative arts"
"Thought provoking and emotionally rich... "
"Totally absorbing and highly original - loved it"
"It was very tender and made me more compassionate towards people with dementia"
"Thought provoking and engrossing.. a great Q&A"
"stunning portrayal - I feel very privileged to have seen this"
"A wonderful piece of theatre which will remain with me for a very long time"
"Eye-opening, positive reaction from 14-year-old thinking more about how illness affects those around you"
"Loved it, gave a lot more than expected"
"Enabled me to understand a little bit more about the emotions of illnesses"

Come with us on our creative journey:
For our this ongoing project, we want to engage with audiences all the way through the rehearsal and touring process. The ‘Drip Drip Drip' 2020 tour will explore a highly charged yet often unaddressed subject, namely how healthcare is affected by racism, in its many forms - overt, unconscious, structural, internalised. If you have relevant experiences that you’re willing to share, either as a giver or receiver of care, or any expertise, research-based, or anecdotal, we’d love you to make contact and let us know your stories and impart your knowledge, even once the show is up and running. We will of course respect confidentiality, but we would be honoured to give voice to an issue which may have already affected you, and will continue to affect others, and that we, with your help, seek to represent authentically and honestly, on stage, and afterwards in the Q&A.
